Please add game support for Genshin Impact https://genshin.mihoyo.com, so that I could use Multi-path feature.
Or simply adding the Aisa Server under Honkai Impact 3rd (from the same company Mihoyo).
The Server used for game connection is very straight forward, single Aliyun cdn block under 47.100.0.0/15. Only the game server is needed as there is no geoblock or anything.
Thank you very much in advance!!
Unfortunately it's not officially supported by Mudfish yet. As workaround you should use one of methods at Unsupported Games.
And if you want to see it officially at Mudfish, please send me some game packets using Packet Capture with Mudfish link while playing the game with Full VPN mode.
I need some game packets to register new game. However is the game server at China (mainland)?
Yes, the Chinese server is located in Shanghai,China.
I find the server Tokyo - SakuraNet2 (node-jp-00373.mudfish.net 160.16.237.144) always having the very best interconnect with their Aliyun game server.
Is there anyway that you could change the other Tokyo - SakuraNet server to the same ip block/(location) as the SakuraNet2?
Currently I'm utilizing the Full VPN with full routing exclusions workaroud,
So should I include all of the servers the game uses when I create the packet capture? (including the authentication server& game browser)
Or simply just the game server packets?
I think you can send both, that's what I did once for a game, went fine
Just a quick update.. The game server environment has enabled the cdn functionality just now.
The Aliyun cdn ip blocks used since launch are:
47.100.0.0/15
47.102.0.0/15
47.116.0.0/17
I've just found out that Mudfish has the custom adding function, tried it with the above ip blocks, and the Multipath feature worked out perfectly. So that there is no hurry, you can now take your time adding it to the offcial game list
Thankyou.
Indeed it works just fine, could you keep us posted in case they change their CDN? So we can update it manually until they're adding the official node, cheers
I'm just using 47.96.0.0/11 for convince, I believe you could also just simply put P:YuanShen.exe in the Routing Path box, that way it will redirect all connection established by the game,
I have not tested it, so not exactly sure if it works with Multipath.
Oh, I didn't know that arg P: with the .exe name, good to know, I always use direct node for convenience, so I guess it should work just fine, thanks for the tip!
Multipath function further reduce my latency by around 10ms compares to direct node, even at peak conjunction time my ping is reduced from around 300ms with ISP route to around 170ms, which is just unreal.
What's the multi path you're using as for this game? When I was playing Lost Ark, I always had issues with this compared to direct node, my ping was always sligthly higher, not sure why
I use https://ping.mudfish.net to check whichever node has the best interconnection, It's a bit complicated and hard to explain without screenshoots,
But essentially no matter where you are in the US mainland, you'd want your connection to route through Seattle, WA > Tokyo/ Osaka Japan then game server.
Personally I found Seattle - RamNode 2 > Tokyo - Aliyun3 / Tokyo - SakuraNet 2(depending on the cdn ip block as well..) to be the very best,
For RTT checking I suggest download PingPlotter, very helpful tool to have
