I have an issue where I cant seem to get mudfish to work for overwatch in singapore outside of full vpn mode. In full vpn mode it seems to work completely fine. However with an item equipped as below:
Auto Refresh
Enabled
Server Location
Asia (Singapore)
Selected Mudfish Node
AU Oceania (Perth - Wombat)
Active
Enabled
Connection Status
Show the connection status to Game / Streaming servers through Mudfish nodes.
It doesnt appear to work. This is even though it shows aRealtime RTT graph of 55ms.
Ingame without full vpn mode it gets 135 ms, despite the RTT graph showing 55ms.

6 year agoJust additionally: inging node-au-00446.mudfish.net [103.231.89.106] with 32 bytes of data: Reply from 103.231.89.106: bytes=32 time=8ms TTL=59 Reply from 103.231.89.106: bytes=32 time=8ms TTL=59 Reply from 103.231.89.106: bytes=32 time=8ms TTL=59 Reply from 103.231.89.106: bytes=32 time=7ms TTL=59 Ping statistics for 103.231.89.106: Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss), Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds: Minimum = 7ms, Maximum = 8ms, Average = 7ms The above is my ping to the mudfish server I am using. My ping without using mudfish at all is 220ms, so obviously mudfish is doing something, but not matching the realtime RTT graphs. edit 2: Now oddly with full vpn mode I am getting normal ping again https://imgur.com/a/gyCviyR edit 3: But then just immediately restarting without full vpn mode: https://imgur.com/a/Av8qYjK

6 year agoOn additional testing, it seems like I can get it working, using an individual item, but then immediately when a map changes, it goes back to 135ms from 65ms.

6 year ago:-( Weird... Please send me some game packets using Packet Capture with Mudfish link while playing the game with Full VPN mode. I need check the packet dump for this issue.

6 year agoAU Oceania perth wombat 2 seems to be a good replacement for the mean time I ran/uploaded a packet dump, but I dont think it will show anything as unfortunately in full vpn mode I seem to get normal latency rather than my higher latency of 135 ms.

6 year agoUnfortunately Perth Wombat 2, even in full vpn mode no longer works as a method of connecting to singapore with decent ping. It seems as if the routing has changed.

6 year agoI found out what the problem was. It seems like half of the servers on the Singapore overwatch server get the low ping of 65ms while others seem to get 135ms. I don't know why this is, but it's probably something to do with vocus.
