I'm thinking you already checked [FAQ - P2P (Peer To Peer) protocol](http://mudfish.net/docs/en/faq/p2p.html) link.  But I'm not sure that you tried to use Proxifier for this purpose.  
  
Regarding to create a custom item, please check [Create Custom Item](http://mudfish.net/docs/en/vpn/dashboard/create_custom_item.html#create-custom-item) link too.  But if you know your friend's public IPs, you can add it in CIDR format.  

I did see that about the proxifier, although I was under the impression that it was for TCP only.  
  
I could definitely get my friend's IPs, that wouldn't be an issue.  I'm just curious if there is a more elegant way to set it up, like perhaps how the items for Warframe or SFV are. Those games are both p2p as well, yet they work with an item (pre-existing, not custom) like server hosted games.  I'm usually pretty good at troubleshooting this type of stuff, but I'm having a bit of difficulty here.  Also, if the setup is more complicated than creating and equipping and item, I'd imagine it'll simply be way out of my friend's comfort zone to even bother with (I'm always the tech support of the group, haha)  
  
Anyway, if this isn't possible for other technical reasons I'm not aware of, no problem and I'll just find the best solution available.  If indeed it isn't possible, would you be able to briefly explain how other p2p games exist as items?  I've been trying to google and figure this out for a while now.

It's depending which Proxifier you tried.  Some proxifiers only support TCP but some supports both TCP and UDP.

Frankly speaking no elegant way for P2P based game and I'm not sure that Warframe or SFV are working fine. :-(  It could be partially supported by Mudfish.

At Mudfish, each item has a IP range information which should be set when it's loaded.  It means for P2P games it has a IP block information of about region where most users are at.  So I don't think it's working perfectly. :-(  

Hmm, SFV definitely seems to be working, VPN is making a big difference for our matches.  
  
Is there any way I could inspect the properties of the SFV item to see if there isn't someway I could reverse engineer a solution for a different p2p game?  
  
I haven't tested warframe myself, I don't play it anymore, just saw it on the list.  
  
I do appreciate how complicated p2p is with this kind of technology, and thanks for your time.

Normally the game item of Mudfish includes "routing table information" such as which IP block should be redirected.  So if you'd like to see the information, please equip the item and check "Status -> Process" menu for Mudfish core logs.  As log entries, it'll show you IP block information for that game item.  That's it. :-)
