same thing happens if not worse.. :( its not just me either friends i play with also have the same 230+ ping now aswell

Are you in Australia? Because the sea cable  between Singapore and Aus is down and being repaired so increased latency   http://status.vocus.com.au/view-incident.aspx?IncidentID=470

yea, that might be it, hopefully thats gets resolved soon seems to be "damaged/faulty" so much
